Dennis Joseph Evans

EVANS, Dennis Joseph - 39 of Indian Brook passed away suddenly Friday May 4th, 2012 as the result of a motor vehicle accident at Indian Brook. Born in Boston USA, he was the son of Rita Evans of Indian Brook and formerly of P.E.I. and the late William “Duncan” McDonald. He has been a resident of Indian Brook since 1974, and was a casual cabinet maker, and a artistic native. Besides his mother he is survived by daughters Nitava Dennis of Eskasoni; Klarise, Sherona, Kylie Sack and Natalli Anastasia Marr, sons Dennis Jr, Dean and Darcy all of Indian Brook; and a granddaughter, and also a Godchild Christopher McDonald. Dennis is also survived by sisters Lena, Tina, Shirley and Samantha, and brothers Raymond and Clarence Evans and John Duncan and Billy Roy and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by maternal Grand Parents Mary Agnes Pierro and Matthew Bernard and Paternal Grand Parents Alexander McDonald and Mary McDonald. Visitation will take place at the home of his mother 174 Sesame Street Indian Brook and Funeral Mass will take place 2 pm, Thursday, May 10th in St. Catherine’s RC Parish, Father Tom Kurudeepan officiating. Interment will take place at the Community Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Salite (Auction) at the Community Center following the service, the Juvenile Arthritic Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the IWK Hospital, Halifax.
