Donald Vincent Jeans

JEANS, Donald Vincent “Donnie” – 61, Indian Brook, passed away in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, on December 6, 2011. Born in Halifax he was a son of Donald and Jean (MacDonald) Jeans. Donnie was in the flooring business for over 30 years, a fisherman for Indian Brook Fisheries. He also was a volunteer for Minor Hockey. Donnie loved to cook, barbeque and loved to dance. He was known as “Grumpy Grampy” by the grandchildren. Donnie is survived by his loving companion Mary Jane Brooks, daughters Tracy (Daniel) Moser, Milford; Tammy (Brad) Corbett, Halifax; stepchildren Cerena Brooks, Andrea Lopez both of Indian Brook; John Brooks, Millbrook; Peter Brooks and Carson Brooks both of Indian Brook; several grandchildren, sister Donna (Mark) Race, Windsor; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Elsie Frasier. Visitation will be today at his home, 589 Church Street, Indian Brook. Funeral service 11 A.M., Saturday, December 10th in St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Tom Kurudeepan OMI officiating. Interment in St. Catherine’s Community Cemetery.
