Francis "Doug" Douglas Horne

HORNE, Francis Douglas “Doug” – 62, Lower Sackville formerly of Lantz, passed away January 6, 2013 in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII Health Science Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax he was a son of the late Carl and Gladys (Edwards) Horne. Doug was a car enthusiast, he made many friends through his dealings. He was a family man, well liked and loved by all. He is survived by children David (Virginia), Bill (Deanna), Valerie (Duane), Chris, Brian (Lisa), Heather, Dwayne (Anne Marie), Samantha (Devon) and Matthew (Katie); grandchildren Jacqueline, Ryan, Mitchell, Steven, Justin, Alivia, Arionna, Nate, Aailyah, D.J., Myles, Jaxson; great grandson Logan; sister Pat MacIntosh, niece Kim Rushton, nephew Matthew Rushton; several great nieces and great nephews. He will be missed by his dogs, Molly and Angel He was predeceased by his soul mate Christine Thompson. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Wednesday with funeral service 2pm, Thursday, January 10 both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie.
