

ISENOR, Garnet- 86 Truro, formerly of Dutch Settlement, passed away suddenly Friday August 13, 2010 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Dutch Settlement, he was a son of the late Frank and Minnie (Smith) Isenor. Garnet worked in the forestry industry all of his life mainly in Nova Scotia but even in Ontario. He is survived by sons Richard (Joan) Preeper, Elmsdale; Perry (Dianne McKibbon) Isenor, Dutch Settlement; Tony (Cheryl) Isenor, Elmsdale; Randy (Joanna) Isenor, Carroll’s Corner; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Wade; companion Mary Hibbitts; sisters Olive, Ruth, Mae, Myrtle, Nellie and Jean; brothers Earl, Albert, Chester, Charlie, Lew, Lawrence, Lorne and Owen. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A graveside service will be held 1pm Tuesday August 17, 2010 in St George’s Cemetery, Dutch Settlement, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Parish of Lantz General Fund, 14 Church Street, Lantz, NS B2P1P3.
