

ARSENAULT, John Urban “Keith” – 47, Enfield, passed away at home with his family by his side on December 22, 2012. Born in Alberton, PEI, he was a son of the late Andrew and Phyllis (Martin) Arsenault. Keith was employed with Department National Defence at Halifax Dockyards as Power Engineer after graduating with honours from NSCC, 2008. Previously he was employed with Atlantic Industrial Cleaners and Scotia Recycling. Keith was a dedicated family man and employee always showing great work ethic and enthusiasm in everything that he did. He displayed this zest for life in all his passions. He combined his love for family with his passion for cycling. The corridor community will never forget Keith and Devon on the tandem bike on the way to school. Other cycling trips included the Cabot Trail Ride and cycling with family on P.E.I. and NS. He was also an avid member of the Uechi Ryu Karate club, where he was assistant instructor with the junior class and earned his honorary black belt in November 2012. He was a volunteer with Special Olympic Swim Team and many school events and fields trips. Keith will be missed by the family dog “Journey”. Keith is survived by his wife Theresa (Benere), daughter Chantal, sons Devon and Joel; sisters Sylvie, Charlottetown; Karen (Jim), Truro; Sharon (Dave), Vancouver; Lorna (Marc), California; Andrea, Toronto; Fawn (Vytas), Vancouver; brothers Brian (Brenda), Dartmouth; Grant (Joan), Lantz; Norman (Sharon), Middle Musquodoboit; Christopher (Debbie), Canning; Theresa’s family Eddie and Marjorie Benere; Mary (Gary), Lantz; Patricia (Darrell), Enfield; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by sisters Sandra and Lorraine in infancy, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation 6-9 pm, Thursday, December 27 with funeral service 10:45 am, Friday, December 28 both in St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, Father Andrew Rembarczyk presiding. Interment in the Niche Columbarium, St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Keith may be made to Special Olympics or Autism Society of Nova Scotia.
