Mrs. Withrow, I was saddened to hear about John's passing. Thank you for welcoming Mom and I into your home not so long ago so we could visit. I guess, by now, you would be sick of the story of the day John went back out into the field to get my corn so many, many years ago, but he did so with a laugh (and my appreciation). A truly wonderful man.

Just now read of John's death in the online edition of the Chronicle-Herald. As I read times of laughter, great and memorable times along with journeys with sorrow came to mind and heart. How will one ever forget thse wonderful years 1954-59, a single student and a married minister --- we give thanks for those years and now express our heartfelt sympathy to you and yours on  John's passing.
