

WITHROW, John William - 82, Centre Rawdon, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on New Years Day, January 1, 2013. Born in Centre Rawdon he was a son of the late William and Ruby (Murphy) Withrow. John was a farmer all his life working side by side with his twin brother Jim. He was a proud member of the Welsford # 26, Masonic Lodge, Windsor for over 50 years. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years, Mary, son Harold (Christine) Withrow, daughter Ruth (John) Grant, grandchildren Megan, Caleb and Isaac, step-grandchildren Cory, Melissa and Michelle, brother Jim (Eloise) Withrow. He also leaves behind good friends and extended family in Nova Scotia, across Canada and in Florida. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ettinger Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9pm, Friday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, with funeral service 1pm, Saturday, January 5, in Upper Rawdon United Church, Mr. Brian Curtis officiating. Burial to follow in the Centre Rawdon United Church Cemetery with a reception in the Rawdon Goldmines Hall.
