

SINGER, Marion Elizabeth – 70, Upper Rawdon, passed away at the VG Centennial Building Hospital, Halifax on December 22, 2012. Born in Mill Village, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Laffin) Parker. Marion loved life. She worked at the Lucky Dollar, IGA in Rawdon, Municipal Contracting, Foodmaster and at Rainbow Farms until her illness. She was faithful to the Terry Fox Run and enjoyed dancing and singing every Saturday night along with times spent at Riverlands campgrounds at Nine Mile River. She is survived by her husband Donald, daughter Cathy (Danny Lake), sons Craig, Chad (Louann); grandchildren Crystal, Katelyn, Cory, Christina, and Jaqueline; great grandchild Gage; aunt Evelyn, Truro; sisters Thelma (Gary) Higgins, Milford; Marlene Gesner, brothers Ronnie (Pearl), Melvin (Cynthia), Clarence (Carla), Richard (Wilma), Gordon (Jan) and Paul (Vickie); several nieces and nephews. Visitation 6-9pm, Friday, December 28, in Ettinger Funeral Home with funeral service 2pm, Saturday December 29,in Rawdon Hills United Church, Upper Rawdon. Rev. Brian Curtis officiating.
