

HATT, Violet, of Dutch Settlement formerly of Beechill Lunenburg Co. passed away Friday July 20th, 2012 at the Colchester Regional Hospital Truro. Born in Grand-Falls Windsor NL she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Lillian (Chayter) Healey. Violets main passion in life was her family and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, watching the arrival of the first hummingbird every spring. She enjoyed her visits back home to family in Newfoundland and touring the province with her late husband Chester who was the love of her life. She loved animals and nature and her nieces and nephews were always near and dear to her heart. Violet’s best qualities were her sense of humor and devotion to her family. She is survived by sisters Clara Abbott (Albert), Doris Swinamer (Donald); brothers Arthur (Marilyn) of Dutch Settlement, Joseph Power and James Healey (Viola) of Newfoundland, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Chester, brother Eric sister Eliza. Visitation and viewing will take place Wednesday July 25th from 9:30 to 11 am at the Aenon Baptist Church Chester Basin with Funeral services at 11 am Pastor Don Dunn officiating. Burial will take place at the Beechill Cemetery. Deep appreciation to niece Melody and her husband Richard Halsall for their unwavering love and support over the years.
