

BROWN, WILLIAM WALLACE - 81, Shubenacadie/Truro, January 15, 1932 – January 15, 2013, passed away on his 81st birthday in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Mill Village, Bill was the son of Charles and Wilberta (Wallace) Brown. He lived the first 70 years of his life on the family farm in Mill Village. He worked with National Gypsum and retired from Shaw Resources.A master designer and builder, he created a loving family and his handiwork can be seen in the church, in many homes and communities. He was a faithful member of Shubenacadie United Church, serving as elder, Clerk of Session and with the choir.A truly gentle man, Bill enjoyed family gatherings, sharing laughter with friends, music and a good challenge. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Tanner); sons Blaine, Tantallon; Bruce (Barbara) Lantz; daughter Robyn (David) Centreville; grandsons Nathan, Charlie, Zach; sisters Marjorie Brown, Truro, Barbara (Douglas) Frame, Gay’s River. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Shubenacadie United Church, Rev. Martin Reid presiding. Committal at Brookside Cemetery.
