Alta Pearl Rhodes

She was born on May 6, 1934 in Hugo, Oklahoma to the late Allen and Ethel Coffman Burton.

On January 24, 1953 in Piggott, Arkansas she married John Grant Rhodes who preceded her in death on November 2, 1977.

She is survived by two daughters Pat (Larry) Carpenter of Bell City, MO. and Sherry (Marty) Godwin of Vanduser, MO.; seven grandchildren, Shelley Carpenter, Missy Stewart, Brandy Rhyne, John Rhodes, Brittany Dunn, Leigh Ann Rhodes and Jake Rhodes; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Gary Rhodes; three brothers, IL Burton, Merle Burton and Billie Gene Burton; and three sisters, Irene Holt, Jewel Barrick and Hazel Hargrove.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Trish Eskew officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery in Morley, MO.

Pallbearers will be Terry Burton, Toby Burton, Lonnie Hargrove, Michael Hargrove, John Rhodes and Jake Rhodes.
