Angela “Angi” Payne Sutton was born January 7, 1967 in Sikeston, Missouri to Glenda Jenkins Payne and the late Ray Payne also of Sikeston. She embarked on her journey to Heaven leaving April 25, 2021. In New Madrid, Missouri on February 14, 1998, she married Scott Sutton who survives at their home in Sikeston. Also surviving are two sons, Brandon and Dawson Sutton, three daughters, Ashley Lay, Brittani Lay, and Leslie Sutton all of Sikeston, Missouri; Two brothers, Mike (Julie) Payne of Lynn Haven, Florida and Jedidiah (Leanne) Payne of Navarre, Florida. One sister, Wendy (Wesley) Jones of Miner, Missouri and nine grandchildren. She was a member of New Life Ministries Church in New Madrid, Missouri where she was a worship leader and minister of God’s Word. It’s an impossible task to describe the essence of a passed love one in a few scribbled lines. The “poetry” of her life was defined by her passion for others. She was an author and editor for Word 2 Word Writing / Editing Services where she helped countless individuals see their own books published. She was a prolific writer herself and her love for literature was surpassed only by her love of studying the Word of God. When asked how she preferred her own description, she would offer, “Christian, wife, mother and ‘Nin’ to my grandchildren.” For so many who knew her, she was a “listener,” an “advice giver,” and, when needed, a shoulder on which to cry... She was a lover of natural beauty and the beaches of Destin Florida that once captured her affection now pale in comparison to the panorama’s of Paradise... There’s something missing in Heaven. Something crucial here on earth, but unnecessary in Paradise,...Faith. For, who continues to “hope” for that which they now possess? Angi Sutton no longer needs the “Faith” which sustained and guided her earthly Christian walk with God. Her faith has proven true and she is in the presence of friends, family and Saints that have preceded her to Heaven. But, most glorious, she now beholds the very face of God... A celebration of her life will be held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Missouri with a visitation scheduled for Wednesday, April 28 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Scott Sutton, Pastor of New Life Ministries officiating. Burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pall bearers will include Paul Grymes, Michael Thomure, Roy White, Roy White Jr., John Northern, and Billy Johnson. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Delbert Garland, Claud Thomure, and Steve Burnes.

It's a blessing and shame that we often learn about someone from the same town after they pass away, in their obituary. I don't think we knew each other in person, but i look forward to meeting Angi in Heaven someday. So sorry for this loss and prayers to the family. I would volunteer to help the family finish any of her writing projects if that is a need or desired. Praying for you all, in Christ's name. Amen.

Dearest Glenda and Family, my heart shares the pain at the loss of your daughter, sister, mother, aunt and good Christian woman. There are no words I can speak to ease that pain at this time. I send prayers of comfort and peace for each one of you and will pray for strength as you go through the days head. I have and am still walking in those shoes. God loves you and is there for you.
