
Anna Marie Forsythe, 91, of Sikeston, died March 11, 2012 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. Born July 3, 1920, in Lilbourn, to the late James B. and Nellie Elliott Ward, she was a self-employed beautician for 23 years, and was employed by Anchor Toy Co. for 16 years. She was a member of the North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston, where she also worked as the custodian for 23 years. On April 18, 1939, in Charleston, she married Robert Forsythe, who preceded her in death on February 17, 2001.
In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Robert R. and Bettie Forsythe of Scott City; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Paul Marchbanks of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm Tuesday, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30am Wednesday, March 14, with the Rev. Frank Winfree of Kansas City, MO, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
