

Betty graduated from East Prairie High School with the class of 1960. She married her high school sweetheart Howard Jackson on July 28, 1961.
Betty is survived by her beloved spouse, Howard Jackson, her son Jeff Jackson, her daughter Jayna Williams. Four grandchildren: Logan Gilmore, Taylor Gilmore (Jake Williamson of Sikeston, MO, Jessica (Gavin) May of Slidell, LA, Londyn Simpkins of Sikeston, MO. Four great grandchildren: Holland & Scout Williamson of Sikeston, MO, Cade & Reid May of Slidell, LA, Her siblings Vonda Carter of East Prairie, MO, Phillip Carter of St. Louis, MO. And many friends that loved her like family.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, JT Carter, Star Carter and her brother Bobby Carter all of East Prairie, MO
Betty's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking, shopping, crafting, decorating, playing cards, bunko, talking, if you ran into Betty, you better of had and extra 30 minutes.
Though Betty is no longer with us in body, her spirit will continue to live in strength and determination of every person who was lucky enough to call her family. We'll carry her with us always and love her forever until we meet again.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Compassion Church - Outlet Drive Sikeston, MO located at Sikeston Factory Outlet. Service will be conducted by Brother Jerry Adams.
Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield MO.
Pallbearers: Gavin May, Jake Williamson, Ira Simpkins, Kenny Jackson, Travis Jackson and Alan Miller.
