He was born on January 17, 1941 to the late Benjamin and Letha Hicks in Piedmont, MO.
On May 19, 1962 he married Brenda Arlene Dockins Hicks, who preceded him in death on March 18, 2022.
He is survived by one son, Mark Hicks of Festus, MO; two daughters, Carla Kneisel of Imperial, MO and Vicki Gehlert of Branson, MO; one brother Loy Hicks of Bowling Green, KY; two sisters, Glenda Taylor of High Ridge, MO and Barbara Lane of Piedmont, MO; two grandsons, David Kneisel and Keith Kneisel of Imperial, MO.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Pastor Jason Schrieber of Living Waters Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery in Blodgett, MO.
