Charles Hawkins

He was born on May 31, 1950, in Little Rock, AR to the late Leroy and Katie Barger Hawkins.

On September 4, 1970, in Sikeston, MO he married Shelia Miller Hawkins who preceded him in death on August 26, 2021.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather (Kevin) Jackson of Sikeston, MO; one son, Matthew (Dawn) Hawkins of Sikeston, MO; one brother, Mike (Cathy) Hawkins of Cape Girardeau, MO; one sister, Claudetta Keen of Laforge, MO; five grandchildren, Jasmine (Bryce) Meese, Gretchen Hawkins, Elizabeth Hawkins, Ethan Hawkins and Lorelai Hawkins; one great-grandchild, Jack Meese.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three sisters, Cynthia Thornton, Annette Nichols and Carlotta Watson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with Kris Alexander of the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church and Glen Cantrell of the First Baptist Church of Sikeston, MO, officiating.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, MO.
