I send my heartfelt condolences to the family. For his boys, please know that your daddy loved you two more than you will ever know. He always spoke very lovingly of his boys.
I have very fond memories of D. He was my close friend and always had kind, sweet words for me always. He always knew how to lift me up when I was down, even when he himself was not feeling well at all. We spoke on a daily basis, right up to when he was transferred to St.Louis. I miss him so very much, what I wouldnt give for one more message.....

Digger ALWAYS would go out of his way to help anyone in need or to make sure someone he barely knew was ok. I was partying one night at Sikeston Eagles it was maybe my third time being there and my blood sugar had went to high from all of the alcohol that I had drank it was the first time I had that happen I am a type 1 diabetic anyways an ambulance was called for me Digger went to the hospital and waited for me to get released he wanted to make sure I was ok he said I scared him that touched my heart right then and there we have been close friends every since I have ALWAYS tried to be there for digger like he was there for me that night

Darren has always had a way to make people laugh even when he wasn't feeling well. Darren was my best friend for many years. We talked daily about his kids and grandkids. He would be so excited when he got to see them and even more happier if he got to see them all in the same day. He always told me never dress up to impress. If you can't be yourself than that's not you. He had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed and loved by many..
With all my love your BFF,
Tammy McCain Doll
