Dessie Pauline Lancaster, age 97, passed away on November 8, 2020 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO. She was born May 2, 1923 in Golden, OK. to the late Norman and Frances McCurry Hunter. She married Clovis Lancaster who preceded her in death on November 6, 1982. She was a member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church in Sikeston, MO. She owned and operated Montgomery Ward Co. in Sikeston, MO. until she retired. She was a former member of the Business and Professional Women’s Cub and a former member of Eastern Star Chapter 137. Survivors include one son, Burn Barnett of Congress, AZ.; three step-sons, Lynn Lancaster of Sikeston, MO., Larry (Julie) Lancaster of Dexter, MO. and Arthur Allen of Jefferson City, MO.; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one step-son, Joel Allen; two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO. Pallbearers will be Lynn Lancaster, Larry Lancaster, Jay Lancaster, Ryan Lancaster, Clay Allen and Travis Qualls.
