Donald Ray Hastings

Donald Ray Hastings, 82, of Sikeston, died September 24, 2014, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born May 1, 1932, in New Madrid County, to the late William Gardner and Maudie Beck Hastings, he was a self-employed farmer. On November 21, 1962, in New Madrid County, he married Geneva Wallace, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Ray and Tammy Hastings II of Matthews and Wallace and Connie Hastings of Kewanee; one sister, Modena Hastings; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

One daughter, Kristy Hastings Becker, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, with Martin Lucas, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard Kurtner, Chad Farris, Rick Aters, Chad Wallace, Aaron Wallace and Chad Parker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Settles, Gerald Settles and John Campbell.
