He was born in Stoddard County, MO., on December 29, 1970, to the Elmer Tyra Jr. and the late Carolyn Vanpool.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Kayla Tyra of Sikeston, MO.; one daughter, Chelsie Tyra of Benton, MO.; one brother, Lawrence Tyra of Sikeston, MO.; two sisters, Joyce West of Poplar Bluff, MO., and Patty Penrod of Sikeston, MO.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday November 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion in Sikeston, MO.
