He was born on April 4, 1961, in Sikeston, MO to the late Clarence and Dorothy Palmer Maxwell.
On March 7, 1992, in Sikeston, MO he married Tenna Masterson Maxwell who survives of the home in Sikeston, MO.
Edwin, Uncle Ed, and Papa. These are the names that describe a man who left a legacy. He was a full-time prankster and comedian, a part-time rockstar and cowboy, and a viewer of random (very random) YouTube videos. His main identity was not in any of these things though. He lived a life of service and sacrifice for his family and others around him. A child of the Most High God, a son of the King of Kings, a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is who Edwin Maxwell was.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Katrina (Heath) Waters of Jackson, MO, DeAndra (Carl) Graham of Sikeston, MO and Alesia (Ryan) Hubbard of Jackson, MO; one brother, Austin (Anita) Maxwell of Sikeston, MO; three sisters, Rhonda (Scott) Huffman of Fredericktown, MO, Carol Maxwell of Sikeston, MO and Stella Lee of Sikeston, MO and eleven grandchildren, Seth, Mya, Raegan, Ethan, Canon, Chloe, Braxton, Kally, Della, London and Landon.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Smith Avenue Church of God (420 Smith Avenue, Sikeston, MO 63801) with Pastor Mike Mahurin officiating.
In lieu of flowers family request that donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
