Elbert Hubbard

He was born on March 10, 1941, in Matthews, MO to the late Layton and Hazel Robinson Hubbard.

On February 17, 1963, in Sikeston, MO he married Della McMillen Hubbard who preceded him in death on September 28, 2022.

He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO.

Elbert was a retired farmer, he worked for FSA in Benton, MO for several years before retiring, he also volunteered with the Scott County Sheriff’s Department for a number of years.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan (Richard) Kimball of Sikeston, MO; one son, Steven (Melissa) Hubbard of Cape Girardeau, MO; three grandchildren, Dustin Hubbard, Tanner Williams and Lane (Abbey) Williams; two great-grandchildren, Liam Hubbard and Adeline May Williams.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Hubbard.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon at Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO, with Johnny Hester, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.

Pallbearers will be Tanner Williams, Lane Williams, Dustin Hubbard, John McMillen, Mike Pearson and Derek Pearson.
