

He was born on April 1, 1939 in Jerusalem, AR. to the late Paul and Cleo Beavers Ruff.
On December 19, 1970 in Sikeston, MO. he married Jerry Heuring Ruff who survives of the home in Morley, MO.
Elbert owned and operated Ruff’s Welding from 1979 until he retired in 2004.
He is survived by one son, Chuck Ruff of Sikeston, MO.; two daughters, Karen Hogg of Livingston, TX. and Rhonda (Mick) Price of West Plains, MO.; and one sister, Alma (Dee) Curry of Sikeston, MO.; two grandsons, Justin (Deserai) Hogg and Joshua (Malinda) Hogg; two granddaughters; Erin (Colter) Hall and Jessica Smith; and six great grandchildren, Austyn Hogg, Landyn Hogg, Kylee McCarthy, Madison McCarthy, Austin Price and Madisyn Price and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Joe, Marvin and Bill; and four sisters, Ruth, June, Lorene and Reba and one infant son.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Bro. Brent Horton, pastor of Old Bethel Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, MO.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
