Evelyn Hill

Evelyn Marie Hill, 74, of Vanduser, died October 23, 2015, at the home of her daughter in Patton. Born September 4, 1940, in Sikeston, to the late Claude and Bernice Puckett Pearson, she had been employed as a nurse at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. On August 24, 1958, in Benton, she married Joe Hill Sr., who preceded her in death on March 6, 2008.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Teri Hill Jr. of Benton; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Sherry and Fred McGruder of Patton, Charlotte and Dick Griffin of Morley, Kim and Jeff Harms of Cape Girardeau, Donna and Ed Alvey of St. Louis and Sarah Hill of Lindale, Texas; one brother, Tommy Pearson of Kewanee; and three sisters, Marilyn Gilliland of Morley, Ora Jean Watkins of Sikeston and Brenda Pearson of Sikeston. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel, retired pastor of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery.
