She was born on May 7, 1940, in East Prairie, MO to the late Dallas and Bertha Graham Triplett.
On February 11, 1956, in Charleston, MO she married Clem Scheffer Jr. who preceded her in death on January 8, 2010.
Having eight children did not leave a lot of time for hobbies however, she did find joy in bowling, shopping, a casino every now and then, trips with her husband, playing rummy, which by the way we could never beat her, among other things. But the one thing she always placed as a priority in her life were her children and family. She made many sacrifices over the years for us and for that we will be forever grateful.
She is survived by two sons, Clement “Sonny” (Bonnie) Scheffer III of Sikeston, MO and Robert Scheffer of Sikeston, MO; four daughters, Victoria (Ronald) Gardiner of Jackson, MO, Beverly (Tony) Ivie of Cape Girardeau, MO, Karen (Allan) Rettig of Sikeston, MO and Lisa (Jimmy) Brewer of Sikeston, MO; twenty three grandchildren; thirty nine great- grandchildren and ten great great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Scheffer and Kenneth Scheffer; three brothers, David Triplett, James “Soakie” Earl Triplett and William Dallas "Dub" Triplett; one grandson, Nathan Rettig and one great grandson, Hudson Rettig.
