

Evelyn Stricker, age 93, of Sikeston, died November 11, 2015, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston. Born January 19, 1922, in Tulu, Ky., to the late Ernest E. and Gladys Alley Hurley, she was a homemaker. On July 22, 1939, in Charleston, she married Ernest H. Stricker, who preceded her in death on January 1, 1993.
Survivors include: two sons and three daughters-in-law, Greg and Jeanne (Felfe) Stricker of St. Charles, Larry and Jenell Stricker of Memphis, Tenn. and Sharon Stricker of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Marge Hurley of the state of Arizona; and three sisters, LaDonna Williams, Daisy Fuller and Sherry Ausbrooks, all of the state of Michigan. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Stricker and Kenneth Stricker; three sisters, Gaynell Baker, Pauletta Hooper and Wanda Pullen; and one step sister, Helen Miller.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Jennifer Moxley, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Stricker, Derek Stricker, Bryan Carney, Jim Pullen, Logan Stricker and Ronnie Pullen.
