

He was born on September 22, 1934, in rural Sikeston, MO to the late Walter and Ruby Burns McDowell.
On April 12, 1952, he married Wanda Louise Kinder who preceded him in death on February 7, 1999.
On March 22, 2002, he married Mary Lou Wamble who survives of the home in Sikeston.
Frank was involved in the construction industry and became a self-employed cabinet maker in Sikeston for twenty-one years before selling his business to his son, Eddie. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing and filming wildlife on the farm in Bloomfield, MO.
Other survivors include one son, Eddie (Christy) McDowell; two daughters, Mickey Taber and Billie (Tom) Bridger all of Sikeston, MO; six grandchildren, Amy (Brent) Hay, Tracy (Shane) Clayton, Jennifer (Chris) Hodgkiss, Merideth (Justin) Pobst, Laurie Bridger and Patricia (David) Reynolds; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Comstock and five brothers, James Moore, Coy McDowell, Bob McDowell, Gene McDowell and Bill McDowell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with Justin Pobst, pastor at Discover Life Church in Sikeston, MO, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
The Pallbearers will be Eddie McDowell, Tom Bridger, Phil Puckett, Rick Wibbenmeyer, Doug Sturgess and Clifton Ham.
