He was born on October 14, 1926, in Bonham, Texas to the late Thomas and Jane Barr Lasater.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force; he served during WWII. He retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation as a civil engineer.
He married Mildred Vaughan Lasater who preceded him in death.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Judy Lasater, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harlin Lasater and Lyndal Lasater.
A brief visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until time of graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sikeston Public Library.
