Gail Johnson

Born June 17, 1943 in Sikeston, MO, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Catherine Bradley Bird. Gail grew up in Risco and graduated from Risco High School in 1962. She married Cecil Lloyd Johnson on Dec. 10, 1966 in Parma. After moving to Sikeston, Gail was an active member at the Cornerstone Church in Bertrand.

Gail was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and an infant daughter, Cecilia Ann as well as her brother, Kenneth Dwight Bird.

Gail is survived by her 2 nieces, Elizabeth Bird Brown of Bluffton, SC and Kathy Bird Hussong (Rick) of Hilton Head, SC and 3 great nephews, Kamden Brown, Jacob Hussong and Ethan Hussong. She is also survived by special friends and companions, Don Baker of Charleston and Mickey Colbert of Sikeston.

Visitation will be from 1-2 on Sunday, Dec. 13 at Nunnelee Funeral Home with service to follow. A private family burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
