Gary E. Noisworthy, age 79, of Sikeston, Missouri, passed peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 4, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving wife, Sherri, and their two children, Trevor and Tiffany.
Born to the late Van and Lucy (Baugh) Noisworthy of Charleston, Missouri, Gary’s life was a reflection of his deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family and friends. A graduate of Charleston High School, Gary married his high school sweetheart, Sherri (DeLay) Noisworthy, and together they recently celebrated 60 beautiful years of marriage. Their life was a living testimony of love, laughter, and loyalty—a bond admired by all who knew them.
Gary is survived by his devoted wife, Sherri; his son, Trevor Noisworthy (Kelly) of Poplar Bluff, MO; and his daughter, Tiffany Seth (Don) of Moscow Mills, MO. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jordy Davis (Chasen) of Ft. Meade, MD; Brody Seth of Moscow Mills, MO; and Whitney Mitchell, Chloe Mitchell, and Jaymee Noisworthy of Poplar Bluff, MO. He is also survived by his sister, Vanette Salyer, of Cape Girardeau, MO.
A man of deep faith, Gary loved the Lord Jesus and served faithfully at First Baptist Church of Sikeston, where his generosity, wisdom, and quiet leadership blessed many. His love for the outdoors was as steady as his spirit—whether working in the yard with Sherri, spending time at his “piece of ground” near Perryville, or enjoying hunting, golfing, and traveling with family and friends, Gary found joy in the simple, beautiful gifts of creation. He marveled at God’s handiwork with curiosity and awe.
The list of Gary’s friends is long. In both his personal life and in business, he sought to make others feel valued, encouraged and successful. His genuine care for people left a lasting imprint, and the fruit of his kindness continues to flourish in those whose lives he touched.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Gary’s life on Friday, October 10, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Sikeston. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by services at 1:00 p.m. with Glen Cantrell and Danny Kuykendall, officiating. The service will be live-streamed and recorded for those unable to attend in person.
Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston, MO.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Noisworthy, Don Seth, Brody Seth, Rick Hensley, Keith DeLay and Junior DeLay.
Gary’s life reminds us to love deeply, serve humbly, and find wonder in the world around us. His family takes comfort knowing he is now in the presence of his Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant."
