Glenda Childers

She was born September 7, 1948 to the late William and Lilly Bell Davis Abbott in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was married to Troy Lee Childers on April 8, 1964, whom preceded her in death on November 25, 2003.

Glenda was a Member of the Smith Street Church of God in Sikeston, Mo.

Survivors include her two daughters; Michelle Lee Childers of Sikeston, MO., and Anna Marie Yager of Bakersfield, North Carolina, one brother Johnnie Abbott of New Madrid, MO., and three sisters: Emma Townsend of Sikeston, MO., Lois Gambrel of New Madrid, MO., and Doris Jones of Paragould, Arkansas, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six brothers Willie Abbott, Tubby Mace, Ernest Abbott, J.K. Abbott, James Mace, and Junior Mace, and one sister Helen Mace.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Smith Avenue Church of God at 420 Smith Ave. Sikeston, MO. 63801
