Helen Grady

Helen Shy Grady, 79, of Sikeston, died March 19, 2014, at her home. Born January 27, 1935, in New Madrid, to the late Samual and Helen Cruchon Shy, she was a bookkeeper and member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Sheila Grady of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Elisa and Kurt Turnbull of New Madrid; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Virginia Shy of Warrensburg; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Gordon Samual (Doc) Shy, David Shy, Richard Shy and Loyd Shy; and one sister, Gwen Shy.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Deacon James Darter of New Madrid officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
