

Jimmy was the son of Paul Markland, and the late Elizabeth (Betty) Markland.
Jimmy worked for Stockade Building Inc. for close to 15 years. He then joined the Union at Tetra Pak in Sikeston.
Hobbies included number one, golfing with his father. Number two, bowling with his nephews who they loved to battle to beat each other. Jimmy even rolled his first and only 300 in 2023.
Jimmy was the type of person who went without because he gave you his last, never hesitated to help anyone anytime. He was a stepfather to two, great son, brother and uncle.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth (Betty) Markland.
He is survived by his father Paul Markland of Miner, brother Wayne Markland of Newark Del, sister Kari Markland of Miner, sister Tracie Markland of East Cape, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Jimmy wished to be cremated, a small memorial will be held with close family and friends on Saturday August 9th, 2025, message sisters for address.
James Paul Markland was always so happy, and his smile could light up the darkest room. No one seen his fight. Like many he struggled with mental illness and his demons won. This is not goodbye, this is till we see you again.
