Jerry Bryant

Sikeston – Jerry Lee Bryant, age 79, passed away on February 25, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born February 4, 1940 in Canalou, MO. to the late Claude and Iva Lena Pointer Bryant. He was a member of Bertrand United Methodist Church in Bertrand, MO. He retired from MODOT after forty two years of service. On February 28, 1959 in Fisk, MO. he married Mary Martin Bryant, who survives of the home in Bertrand, MO. Other survivors include: one daughter, Connie Ray of Bertrand, MO.; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Wayne and Denise Bryant of Cypress, TX.; four grandchildren, Emily (Eric) Heuring, Joshua (Jennifer) Ray, Lauren Bryant and Michelle (Daniel) Kitchens; six great-grandchildren, Charles Heuring, Kierstyn Ray, Cody Ray, Guinevere Kitchens, Everett Kitchens and Donavan Kitchens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Bryant; two sisters, Claudia Faye Kirkpatrick and Charlotte Bryant. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO., where funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Lois McRill, pastor of Bertrand United Methodist Church in Bertrand, MO., and Rev. Jennifer Moxley, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, MO., officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, MO. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN. 38101.
