Jimmie Lou Bell, 65, of Sikeston, died May 5, 2012, at her home. Born June 25, 1946, in Hickman, KY, to the late Jimmie and Martha Preslor Bass, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and was employed by Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston at the time of her retirement. She was a member of the Miner Baptist Church. On September 30, 1983, in Benton, she married Terry Bell, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jason and Laurie Bell of East Prairie and Terry Bell, Jr. of Poplar Bluff; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and David Novak of Sikeston; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Dianne Watson of Springfield, Mickey Miller of Dade City, FL and Cindy and Mike Platt of Jackson; and three grandchildren, Hannah Kasting, Ross Kasting and Maddie Grace Bell. Also surviving are many precious nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Mike Kasting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Stevie Bass; and two sisters, Glynda Davis and Dot Jones.
Visitation will be held this evening from 5:00-8:00pm at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 11:00am Tuesday, May 8, 2012, with Rev. Jason Davis, associate pastor of the Bethany Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Rick Adams, Joe Godwin, Dewayne Reeves, Nelson Guth, Mike Gadberry and Nathan Mays.
