

JT was born April 4, 1985, in Murray, KY to Delton (Bud) and Marshia Morton. He graduated from McKenzie High School in 2003. JT was the owner of Racin’ M Transport and loved all things horses. He barrel raced in multiple organizations throughout his life including NBHA, BBR and AQHA. JT was a member of the Sikeston Jaycee’s and loved his Jaycee family. JT was a ground expert which earned him the nickname “Tractor Man”. He was the driving force behind the Jaycee’s ground crew earning the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association, Justin Best Footing Award for the Great Lakes region for three years in a row and was recognized by barrelracing.com for his accomplishments. JT was a friend to everyone he met and made a positive impact on so many lives. He lived his life to the fullest. JT’s biggest accomplishment was being a Dad to his son, Jaden Morton, who was his pride and joy.
JT is survived by his parents, Delton and Marshia Morton; brother, Josh (Cassie) Morton; and son, Jaden Morton.
Please join family and friends to honor the life of JT Morton on Sunday, January 14, 2024. The celebration of life will be held at the Sikeston Jaycee Rodeo grounds, in the hospitality building, located at 1220 N Ingram Rd., Sikeston, MO, 63801. Visitation will be held from 12 – 2 PM with a celebration of life service beginning at 2 PM.
