Lavern Church

He was born October 12, 1946 in Tuckerman, AR. to Thersie Hutchinson Church and the late Alfred Church.

He was a self-employed general contractor for many years before retiring; he served in the Army National Guard.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mike (Rene) Church of Sikeston, MO.; one daughter, Julie Church of St. Louis, MO.; two brothers, Tim Church of Cape Girardeau, MO. and Boyce Church of Cape Girardeau, MO.; two sisters Carole King of New Hamburg, MO. and Mary Cato of Houston, TX.; two grandsons, Justin Church and Colton Church of Sikeston, MO. and his companion, Brenda Varvel of Sikeston, MO.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother, A.C. Church.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO., Bro. Billy Davis, pastor at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO., officiating.

Burial will follow at Blodgett Cemetery in Blodgett, MO. with military honors.
