

Lola Mae Armstrong, age 87, of Charleston Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 29th 2025 in her sleep at home. Born on September 21st 1937 in East Prairie Missouri, Lola was the daughter of Eli and Bernice Thresher. She was a beloved wife and mother and dear friend to most who knew her, known for her kindness, strength, generosity, Love of God and adventurous spirit.
Lola dedicated her life to her family and several careers from School District bookkeeper to hair dresser and real estate agent. She found joy in Church, travel and family, and she touched the lives of many through her active spiritual life and health advocacy.
She is survived by her sister Rosemary Oliver, her brother Gary Thresher, her two sons, William and Steven Armstrong and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William James Armstrong, her parents Eli and Bernice Thresher and her brother Donald Thresher.
In honoring her wishes, there will be no funeral service. She will be interred in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery with her husband William James Armstrong on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 1:45 p.m. Lola will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
