She was born on December 7, 1949, in Canalou, MO to the late Delbert and Ida Jackson Basinger.
She was a cook for Rochester for many years and owned Jay’s Taxi.
She is survived by one daughter, Leslie (Michael) Jones, three sisters, Ola Poley, Wanda Hinshaw, and Mae Stokes, two grandchildren, Candice Vinson and Jay Gunter and one great grandchild, Lilith Spurlock. and significant other Otis Lue Rose.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Allan Basinger, Charles Basinger, Carl Basinger and JD Basinger and significant other, Otis Lue Rose.
A memorial will be held on August 2, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Sikeston Complex in Sikeston, MO.
