

Edward Michael “Mike” Underhill, age 66, of Sikeston, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born July 5, 1947, in Sikeston, to the late Earl M. Underhill and Ila Beck Underhill Kinder, he was an operator material handler/river at Noranda Aluminum, where he was employed for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Sikeston Elks Lodge #2319, and of Baptist faith. On August 27, 1988, in Sikeston, he married Sharon Davidson, who survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: two daughters, Robin Underhill Day of Bell City and Megan Underhill and fiancé Chad Stevens of Nixa; one brother and sister-in-law, Earl R. and Janet Underhill of Sikeston; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Kenneth and Kay Bowman of Bertrand and Dale and Vanessa Glenn of Charleston; and one uncle and aunt, Gaines and Audrey Beck of Sikeston. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 11, from 5-8 p.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m., with Bro. Tim Miller of Jackson, officiating. The eulogy will be given by Mike Campbell.
Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors accorded him by the Missouri Military Honor Guard Unit.
Pallbearers will be Rob Bowman, Adam Glenn, Steve Underhill, David Underhill, Ronnie May, Lonnie Ward, Glenn Hessling and Bill Culp.
