Mildred Lee Noyes Bartlett passed away May 7, 2018 at the age of 101. She was born October 27, 1916 near Sikeston, MO to Nathan Simpson Noyes and Katie Louisa Freeman Noyes. On May 17, 1941 she married John Robert Bartlett who preceded her in death on December 3, 1992. She has been a member of the Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church of Sikeston for over 88 years. She served on the building committee when the church was originally constructed in 1954. She served as Treasurer and Chairperson of the Women of the Church. In 1984 she received Honorary Life Membership in the Presbyterian Women.
She is survived by one son Michael and his wife Barbara Lane Bartlett of Sikeston, one grandson Michael Timothy Bartlett and his wife Edie of Sikeston, one granddaughter Laura Beth Jurica and her husband Cory of Davenport, Florida, two great-grandchildren Ethan and Miranda Bartlett of Sikeston and several special nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three very special friends, Betty Willis, Mickey Moll, and Peggy Grimes.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is also preceded in death by four brothers, Oliver, Milem, Clayton, and Finley Noyes; five sisters, Clara Ann Noyes, Katie Lucille Bokavoy, Lela Mae Pool McElroy, Vanita Boone Conner, Mary Magdalene Wiss, and one great-grandson Dylan Bartlett.
Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her church, cooking, sewing, working puzzles, and reading.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church in Sikeston, MO. at 10:00 am with services to follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tom Bass officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Glen Barks, Joe Carraway, Richard Howard, Mike Geske, Richard Montgomery and Clarence Pool. Honorary Pallbearer: Ethan Noyes
