

Nola Edwards, 85, of New Madrid, died June 27, 2014, at her home. Born October 3, 1928, in East Prairie, to the late Isaac Canterbury and Loula Elizabeth Boyer Treece, she was a homemaker and founding member of the Church of Christ in New Madrid. On May 14, 1947, in Kennett, she married Albert Edwards, who survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia and Neal Halford of Risco and Sherry and Ron Greminger of Desloge; four grandchildren, David Greminger of Knoblick, John Paul Halford of Risco, Ryan Halford of New Madrid and Gretchen Greminger of Brunswick, Ga.; and one great grandchild, William Greminger. Also surviving is a daughter of choice, Stephanie and husband John Garner of New Madrid, and their daughters, Alexa and Allyson.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Hyder Treece, George Treece, Jessie Treece and Johnny Treece; and four sisters, Mary Treece, Minnie Crumpecker, Dora Kalb and Shirley Carter.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 30, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Jay Lyles and Bro. Ed Thomas, officiating.
Burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be Ron Greminger, Neal Halford, David Greminger, Don Brown, Heath Poindexter and John Paul Halford.
