Opal Elliott

She was born on August 16, 1933, in Jerusalem, Arkansas to the late George and Ida Beavers Chism.

On November 18, 1955, in Sikeston, MO she married Albert Elliott who preceded her in death on July 4, 1987.

She is survived by two sons, Doyne Elliott and Keith Elliott of Sikeston, MO; one daughter, Lori Elliott of Sikeston, MO.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by nine brothers and four sisters.

She was a member of Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston, MO. She loved to cook and to bake and she enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She loved spending time with her family and going back to Arkansas where she grew up on Evans Mountain.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with Danny Kuykendall, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
