Pamela Kim Jobe was a fierce lover of her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She was a die-hard Charleston Blue Jay, St. Louis Cardinals, and Bates family fan, and she especially lived for her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nee.”
Kim grew up in Charleston, graduating in 1974, and was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church.
On September 28, 1974, she married the love of her life, Mike Jobe, and together they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Known for her sharp wit and sense of humor, Kim always lit up every room she entered. She was the life of the party, making everyone around her laugh and filling every space with warmth and joy.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Beck. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father, Dewey (Janet) Pry of Dexter, MO, her daughter, Corrie (Lance) Gordon; her son, Craig Jobe; and her one granddaughter, Blaire (David) Wisler of Murray, KY, and four grandsons, Brice Gordon, Ace Jobe, Augie Jobe, and Finn Jobe. She is also survived by her brothers: Mark (Regina) Pry of Cassville, MO, and Lance (Donna) Pry of Jackson, MO, and Daren Pry.
Kim was a co-owner and founder of Sure Fitness Center and worked as the beloved office manager at Waters Engineering, where she was known as “The Boss.”
An avid bowler for many years, Kim bowled in the Charleston Women’s Bowling League. She enjoyed margaritas on the rocks (no salt), camping at Castor River, and creating the Castor River Café with her grandkids.
She loved deeply, laughed often, worked hard, and will be remembered for her fierce devotion to family and her unforgettable, joyful spirit.
