Paul was born May 3, 1959 to the late John R Ensor, Sr and Hazel (Widner) Ensor. He attended Sikeston Public Schools and graduated in 1977.
Ensor started working for Steward Steel Structural Division as a welder / fabricator in Oct, 1978. He moved to Oklahoma in 1980 to work in the oil field. He moved back to Sikeston in 1983 and went back to work for Steward Steel. He worked there until April, 1992 when he left and went to work for Schick Steel in Blytheville, Arkansas as a subcontractor for NuCor-Yamato Steel. He was hired on full time at NuCor in June,1993 and he remained there until Feb 2019 when he had to stop working due to chemo treatments. Ensor held several positions in his 26 years at Nucor, during the last 18 he was a Mill Wright Mechanic.
On June 5, 1993, he married Melissa Anderson of Campbell, Missouri. They later had two daughters, Ashley (May, 1998) and Annie (Oct 1999).
Paul was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed hunting, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends and family. Even though he worked rotating swing shift at NuCor, whenever possible he attended the girls’ soccer and volleyball games. Family was very important to Paul and he supported and loved his girls to the very end.
Survivors include his wife and daughters of the home, one brother, John R Ensor, Jr, of Sikeston, his mother-in-law, June Anderson of Sikeston, one brother-in-law, Randy Anderson (Bridgette) of Campbell, 2 nieces, 3 nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO., where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., Johnny Hester, officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sikeston City Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
Pallbearers will be Tim Brown, Don Culbertson, Mark McClellan, Bill Shouse, Chris Massey and David Shepard.
