Richard Thomas Holman, 69, of Sikeston, died January 19, 2015, at his residence. Born July 4, 1945, in Bragg City, Mo., to the late Chester and Hattie Wilburn Holman, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion Post #114 in Sikeston.
Survivors include two brothers and one sister-in-law, James and Linda Holman of Osceola, Ark. and Billy Ray Holman of the state of Alabama; and one sister, Bea Dawson of St. Louis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12 noon on Friday, January 23, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors accorded him by the Missouri Military Honor Guard Unit.
