He was born July 14, 1941 in Sikeston, MO., to the late Floyd and Nellie Karnes.
On August 15, 1960 in Morehouse, MO., he married Sherrill Bledsoe Karnes, who preceded him in death on August 31, 2011.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother, LeRoy Karnes and two sisters, Nellie Proffer and Divola Wilson.
