

Roberta was born on March 9, 1942, in Leeton, MO to the late Eugene and Roxie Blackaby.
She grew up around Clinton, MO and graduated from Chilhowee High School. Roberta spent most of her career at Bo’s Breakfast and Bar-B-Q Restaurant in Sikeston, MO as a cook. Outside of work, she enjoyed attending bingo weekly, cracking/selling pecans, creating puzzles, crocheting, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She will always be remembered for her spunky personality, giving heart and helping hands. Her strong work ethic and determination will be passed on for generations.
Through her membership in the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, she formed lasting friendships that brought her comfort, laughter and a strong sense of belonging.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Randy) Dill; her grandchildren, Christopher Shultz, Austin Dill and Madison (Stephen) Belcher; her great-grandson, Drew Belcher; four sisters, Roetta (Bob) Barker, Roxanna “Pat” Richey, Roma O’Dell and Ronda “Faye” (Gary) Dizney; four brothers, William “Billy” Blackaby, Harold Blackaby, Robert “Bobby” Blackaby and James “Buck” Blackaby along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Robert Reed; her son, Johnny O’Neill; two brothers, Jimmy Blackaby and Larry Blackaby; and one sister, Rogena Ragland.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with Steve Francis, Pastor of Miner Baptist Church in Miner, MO, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
