Rose Lee Napier

Rose Lee Napier, age 91, passed away on January 23, 2019, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, MO. She was born January 4, 1928, in Crutchfield, KY., to the late Flois Melvin and Ethel Mae Arant Murphy. She was a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church in Woodland Mills, TN. She had been an active member of the Woman’s Bridge Club, Community Choir as well as the Coalesce Club. On October 27, 1946 in Corinth, MS., she married Howard Thomas Napier, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2014. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and David Hough of Sikeston, MO.; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Charles Dunn of Union City, TN.; one granddaughter, Stephanie (Ross) Lemmons of Sikeston, MO.; two great- grandchildren, Jacob Thomas Lemmons and Archer Rose Lemmons of Sikeston, MO. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Cleo Murphy, Flois Murphy and Bob Murphy; one sister, Glenda Polston; one grandson, Jacob Thomas Beck and one son-in-law, Joe E. Beck Jr. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Woodland Mills First Baptist Church in Woodland Mills, TN., with Rev. Rick Burton, officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery at Union City, TN. Pallbearers: David Hough, Ross Lemmons, Greg Dunn, Murphy Fair, Phillip McDaniel and Danny Isbell. Honorary Pallbearers: Charles Dunn, Glenn Lemmons, Kenny Allen and the Woodland Mills Baptist Church Deacons. Memorial donations may be sent to Woodland Mills First Baptist Church, P.O. Rose was such a beautiful person. I worked with Howard at Reelfoot and knew her through him and then later worked for a doctor and talked to her quite often. Sure loved them both! She will be greatly missed as I know Howard is. My condolences to the family!!
