She was born October 3, 1941 in East Prairie, MO. to the late Fred and Nola Roach Taylor.
She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO. She worked at Ann’s Group Home in Sikeston, MO. from 1992 until her retirement in 2012, providing foster care to special needs children.
On July 20, 1963 in East Prairie, MO. she married Gene Cantrell who preceded her in death on April 1, 2013.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Brian and Susan Cantrell of Miner, MO. and Glen and Mindy Cantrell of Sikeston, MO.; three sisters, Jean Baker of Lewistown, MO., Dean Luber of Miner, MO. and Ann Newton of Miner, MO.; three grandchildren, Chris Cantrell, Grayson Cantrell and Riley Cantrell and two great-grandchildren, Lucas Cantrell and Eli West.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Jason Davis, pastor of Anchor Church in Sikeston, MO., officiating.
Burial will follow at the Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
