Ruth Ann Groves

She was born on May 24, 1940 in Dogwood, MO. to the late Ray and Verla Hicks Crews.

On May 18, 1957 in Charleston, MO. she married Edwin Ray Groves, Sr. who preceded her in death on January 1, 2018.

She retired from Hunter Acres Nursing Center as a Certified Nurse Assistant after 17 years of service.

She was a long time member of Shady Acres Church of Christ where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years.

Survivors include one son Ed (Cyndee) Groves Jr. of Kansas City, MO.; two daughters, Pam Classe (Terry Henley) of Mansfield, AR., Sharon Granger (Mark Pratt) of Sikeston, MO.; one sister, Sherma Reaves of Memphis, TN.; five grandchildren, Ian Classe, Corina Wright, Miranda Groves, Danice Thomas and Dana Granger; four great- grandchildren, Jaedyn and Eliana Johnson, Liam Thomas and Rylee Wright.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Johnny Hester, pastor at Matthews Church of Christ and Keith Olbricht, pastor at Shady Acres Church of Christ, officiating.

At the request of family, masks will be required.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
